This food delivery app was launched to simplify ordering from local and chain restaurants across the UAE. To strengthen its market position, the brand aimed to grow its base of active, high-value users rather than merely increasing downloads. Admoon Agency was selected to design and manage a data-driven app campaign strategy focused on attracting genuine, engaged customers.

The Challenge

  1. Low-Quality Installs

    Most of the users downloaded the app but did not go any further with it, such as signing up or making a purchase. This resulted in the overall efficacy and ROI of the campaign being reduced.

    Due to heavy competition among food delivery apps in the region, CPI was increasing, making user acquisition less cost-efficient.

  3. Measuring Real Impact

    It was critical to accurately track the manner in which installs converted into desired behaviors—i.e., registrations, first orders, repeat buys—in order to be able to evaluate the real business worth of the campaigns.

The Strategy

Admoon developed a targeted, data-led system to convert challenges into opportunities and drive the campaign to long-term growth. The strategy combined control, transparency, and wise utilization of Google's algorithms.

  1. Target High-Quality Installs

    Key in-app actions such as sign-ups and first orders were defined as primary signals, helping Google's algorithm optimize towards users more likely to generate long-term value.

  2. Advanced Audience Segmentation

    Audiences were segmented by geography, language, and device so the budget could be distributed most effectively in the highest-performing markets.

  3. Creative Testing and Optimization

    A/B testing was executed across various ad formats—short video, banners, and ad copy—to identify top-performing creatives. High-performing winners with enhanced click-through and conversion rates were promoted throughout the campaign.

  4. Comprehensive Data Integration and Analysis

    By using Google Ads, Firebase, and Google Analytics together, all in-app installation and event data were properly tracked. CPI, ROAS, and LTV metrics were measured to keep constantly optimizing the performance.

What We Did

  1. Improved Install Quality

    Defining major events and optimisation to activated users resulted in more sign-ups and genuine orders. Each install began adding more money to the brand.

  2. Optimising Cost Efficiency

    Audience segmentation and smart budgeting reduced CPI significantly. With the same budget, the app could acquire more quality installs, driving ROI as well as overall profitability.

  3. Transparency Increased

    With data integration via Firebase, the marketing team was finally able to track the entire customer journey from ad impression to first-order, enabling more data-driven and informed decisions.

The results

Over a period of five months (July–December 2024), the campaign achieved phenomenal, measurable growth. With a total ad spend of $2,833.16, the app registered 6,090 installs on average CPI of $0.46, a 41% drop from cost per install. Quality too improved significantly with 73% of the user signing up upon download, contributing around 4,446 sign-ups, and 2,380 of them made a purchase, giving a CPA of $1.44. This combination of efficiency and entertainment resulted in a 29% ROAS and 22% ROI, proving that each dollar of spend was driving real business outcomes. Overall, the campaign saw a 52% increase in high-quality users, reduced waste spend, and allowed the app to establish a larger presence in the crowded UAE food ordering arena.
